
Meet The Board

Patricia R. Cain, M.Acc., CPA -
Director, Vice-President, Treasurer, and TEAMMATE

Patricia Cain is a Florida licensed CPA with a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of South Florida. For nearly 30 years, she has co-owned and managed Davey & Associates, Inc., a mechanical contracting firm serving numerous healthcare facilities and ice ranks throughout Florida. They have been under contract with Tampa's Amalie Arena, home of The Lightning, since its opening in 1996.
Prior to establishing Davey & Associates, Inc., Patricia was a Senior Accounts Auditor with the Florida Office of the Auditor General. As an auditor of State agencies, her responsibilities included evaluating legal compliance and proper safekeeping of public assets. As director and officer of the Christopher J. Nercesian Foundation, it is her duty to collect, use, and report donations in a manner consistent with legal requirements and its overall fiduciary responsibility for such funds.
Christopher Nercesian, Ph.D., M.Ed., BCBA - Chairman, President, and TEAMMATE
Dr. Nercesian was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA) when he was 16-years-old, and was wheelchair-bound by age 21. In the more than 18 years since he stopped walking, he has extensively researched natural treatments, and obtained a doctorate in Natural Medicine from Kingdom College of Natural Health.

Prior to this, Dr. Nercesian received a Master of Education in Behavior Analysis, and later became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). He also volunteered at Baldomero Lopez State Veterans' Nursing Home where he was a part of the Adopt-A-Hero program. In his professional career as a behavior analyst, Dr. Nercesian’s entire client population was composed of adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.


Joseph Massimi – Director and TEAMMATE
Joe Massimi has been a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks since 2000. He served as a Lodge Officer and was President in 2006. In 2010, he was appointed District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler and was responsible for 12 Lodges in the Central District. In 2014, he was appointed Administrative Assistant to the State President of the New Jersey State Elks Association. He is currently on the Piscataway Lodge Board of Directors where he is serving as Chairman.

Rita Massimi - Director, Secretary, and TEAMMATE
Rita Massimi worked for IBM Corporation for 40 years. She started as a word processor and worked her way up to executive secretary, team leader, secretarial manager, then staff person until she retired.
She has been an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks since 2006. She also served in various capacities (Vice-President, Second Vice-President) until she took over the secretarial position in 2012, which she still holds.

She has served as a Lodge Officer and was President from 2009 - 2011. In 2012, she became the Lodge Secretary, a position which she currently holds. In 2017, she was appointed District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler and was responsible for 11 Lodges in the Central District. Her duties included visiting lodges and conducting audits to ensure all rules and statutes were followed.
She chairs Government Relations, Scholarship, and Youth Activities committees in the Lodge, and is an active participant in the Special Children’s Committee. She has held various District Chair assignments, including Public Relations, Government Relations, and Scholarship, and is the liaison to the District Secretaries for the Elks Grand Lodge Secretarial System.

Rita is currently the Administrative Assistant to the State President of the New Jersey State Elks Association.
